Recent Initiatives

Close ties with both business and our education partners have enabled Maine's Community Colleges to develop a number of initiatives that benefit Maine people. These partnerships include articulation agreements with other colleges and universities in the state, joint ventures with Maine's high schools, and economic development efforts. Recent initiatives include:

• Educational Opportunities through New Brunswick Community College Network. more

• A Journey Into Writing - A writing contest for Maine high school juniors. more

• Early College for ME - A college transition program now offered in select Maine high schools. more

• AdvantageU - Maine's Community College to University Guaranteed Admission Program. more

• Work Force Needs and Higher Education Survey Reports. The MCCS' Center for Career Development has partnered with the Maine State Chamber of Commerce and business groups on a series of workforce needs studies. (See the news release.) The following reports are now available:

Recent MCCS Projects
