The Maine Quality Centers program has helped 221 Maine businesses expand or locate their operations in Maine. These expansions represent over 12,000 new jobs — all full-time jobs with benefits — and a projected $2 billion in related private investment in Maine.
More than half of the projects funded by the MQC program are in one of the seven target industries identified as having great potential for Maine's economy. The program has helped businesses expand in all of Maine's 16 counties. Maine Quality Centers is a state-funded program. The estimated return on investment for MQC-funded projects is 10 months.
