MCCS Educational Policy Committee to Hold Meeting to Review Program Suspensions

AUGUSTA, MaineThe Maine Community College System Board of Trustees’ Educational Policy Committee will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, June 7, to review program credentials being suspended due to budget issues. The committee will meet at 9:00 a.m. at the MCCS System Office at 323 State Street in Augusta. The meeting is open to the public.
Eleven program credentials will be reviewed by the committee: two at Kennebec Valley Community College, and nine at Washington County Community College. The programs to be reviewed are:
At KVCC:
- Administrative Assistant and Legal Administrative Assistant (options within the Automated Office Technology program)
At WCCC:
- Dietary Management for Professionals, Food & Hospitality Services with a specialization in Dietary Management, and Food & Hospitality Services (options within the Food and Hospitality program)
- Computer Programming, Computer Information Systems, and Computer Support Specialist (options within the Computer Technology program)
- Office Information Systems, Office Professional Technology, Computer Application User Specialist (options within the Business Studies program)
