Campuses offer diverse college life
There's a lot more to college life than the classroom. Sports, student government, special events, honor societies, and service opportunities all contribute to the college experience.
If an international exchange program interests you, check out the George J. Mitchell Scholarship Exchange Program with Ireland or the community colleges' partnership with the New Brunswick Community College.
Five of the colleges--CMCC, EMCC, NMCC, SMCC, and WCCC--offer residence halls, while KVCC and YCCC serve commuter students. All offer either onsite day care, or referrals to local child care centers. Each of the colleges offers its own blend of extra-curricular activities and facilities. Campus-wide Internet access and extensive computer labs are also available. At most of the colleges students can participate in intramural and intercollegiate athletic teams, such as basketball, soccer, volleyball, softball, and golf. Other activities include Student Senate, Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society (www.ptk.org), and special interest clubs. Student services at each of the colleges offer career counseling and academic support.
