Compact Training and Funding Process

1. Become a member of the Maine Workforce Development Compact!
Access the benefits of the Compact and receive up to $1,200 in training funding per frontline employee. Access the benefits of the Maine Workforce Development Compact! Join here.

2. Submit a Funding Request
Funding request forms must be submitted and approved before the training begins. Before you begin, you will need your W9, the excel file of trainees (under Part C of the application), training info, workers to be trained, and your training vendor information.|

3. Training Registration Portal
Note: If you are participating in a training with one of Maine’s community colleges, you will register directly with them. Your funding approval will list detailed next steps and contact information.

If you are training through a third-party, once the training is approved, you will receive a link to your training page in the Training Registration portal. Register your employees who will be taking the training. Employees who have trained before already have user profiles. Employees who have not yet trained will need to complete a profile.

4. Verify Completers
Upon completion of training through a third-party, submit your training roster with confirmation of who completed training to trainingrecords@mccs.me.edu.
Note: If you participated in a training with one of Maine’s community colleges, this step will be completed for you.

  • Employees of Compact Members are eligible to receive two classes at 50% off per semester. The course calendar is available here.
