Augusta, MAINE – Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at 1:00 p.m., Governor Janet Mills will visit Central Maine Community College (CMCC) in Auburn to highlight the importance of the Maine Jobs & Recovery Plan’s investment in workforce training programs at Maine’s community colleges.
As part of her plan to jumpstart economic recovery and achieve long-term economic growth, Governor Mills has proposed investing $35 million in the Maine Community College System to support workforce training programs. During her visit, Governor Mills will deliver remarks and tour CMCC’s Precision Manufacturing Technology Program. She will be joined by Dave Daigler, President of the Maine Community College System; Betsy Libby, Interim President of CMCC; Sarah Pierce, CMCC’s 2021 Student of the Year; and Heather Johnson, Commissioner of the Department of Economic and Community Development.
