Community College Students Receive Student of the Year Awards

Augusta, ME  (WABI) Seven schools, seven students, seven stories of achievement.

Bill Egeler, Dean of Students at Northern Maine Community College says,
“Student of the year is our recognition of all of the hard work of many students attending across the community college system.”

One of the winners, Jordanna Sprague  said,”I actually had  to h old back the tears I was so excited.”And Tammy Cox, another winner, added,”I keep pinching myself because it doesn’t seem quite real yet.”

The ceremony highlights some of the best and brightest students coming out of Community Colleges across the state.

“They’re selected for hard work, academic achievement, community involvement, volunteerism,” said Egeler, “often times overcoming tremendous struggles.” More»
