EMCC Fire Science students are given the opportunity to live at a fire house

HERMON (NEWS CENTER Maine) — For most college students, back to school means moving into dorms and hanging out with friends, but for 12 Eastern Maine Fire Science students they’re moving to a fire house. Fire Science students are given the opportunity to apply and interview for a spot at a fire house. If accepted, they are assigned a fire house in Holden, Herman, Veazie, Hampden or Newport where they live for two years. Learn more»
