Join the Maine Workforce Development Compact

The Maine Workforce Development Compact is comprised of Maine businesses, associations, nonprofits, and municipalities who are committed to working together to solve Maine’s workforce challenges. Joining is free and takes only minutes.

Compact Member Application Form

Benefits include:

Financial support

of up to a $1,200 match per frontline worker.

Community college scholarships

for staff to continue acquiring skills in pursuit of a degree or credential of value.

An advisor

to assist employees with course selection, textbooks, tutoring services, and other resources to ensure their continued success.

Maintenance

of your employees’ training records.

Training for Compact Members can occur at one of Maine’s community colleges, by a third-party training vendor, or through your own company-based training. All Maine companies qualify and there are additional resources available to small- and mid-sized companies.

To be eligible for training, frontline workers must be 18 or older, a Maine resident, and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
