Vassar’s Exploring Transfer

The Exploring Transfer (ET) program at Vassar College is designed for community college students interested in continuing their education at a competitive four-year college. Students who enroll in the summer program take college courses co-taught by a Vassar and a community college professor. Due to uncertainties surrounding COVID-19, Vassar College is unable to offer a residential program this summer and instead will offer the program remotely. All aspects of the program including classes, office hours, enrichment workshops and social activities will be offered online, over Zoom.

Students of all ages who are the first in their family to attend college and those from under-represented groups and disadvantaged backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

The application process includes a personal essay, college transcripts, and two faculty evaluations.

MCCS students who are selected to participate receive a scholarship that covers tuition and books. This year students will also receive a $500 stipend to assist with expenses while learning remotely.
